What will it take? – An honest answer

I’ve said that not all people are cut out to be internet marketers. This is because it takes a lot of self-discipline and self-motivation to be able to do all of the tasks that are needed to be successful. It doesn’t happen overnight and it definitely is not easy, especially in the beginning. If after years of building your name and business, it is possible to make a lot more money with less time & effort than it did in the beginning because you put the time into it at the beginning. That time you put in at the beginning is compounded, just like interest on money. There is no shortcut and there is no guarantee.

Can you learn to become someone who can run a successful internet marketing business? I don’t doubt that there are many people who can but what I can’t do is tell you if you are one of those that can because that ultimately is entirely up to you. You are responsible for every choice you make and whether to become a successful person is your decision and responsibility alone. I can only help and guide you with the knowledge and tools that I utilize in my own business and show you how I do things. It is your decision to heed or ignore my advice based on your own experience or opinions and therefore it is your responsibility to own up to whatever results that your business yields, good or bad. If the results aren’t as you had hoped, I will definitely be there to help you from my point of view. Remember, your success is success for me and your failure would feel just as bad if not worse. I’ll root you on but don’t forget to put in the good work.

Not only do you need discipline and motivation, you really need a meaningful goal. What do you really, really want to do? Really, really wanting something goes a long way towards motivation so the more you want it, the more you should try to get it. And then you need a plan. How are you going to do what you want to do? Most people don’t have a clue where to start but I’m here to tell you, it’s right here: your ultimate goal. It doesn’t matter that you have no clue how to get there right now but you do have to know where you’re going. Once that has been decided and totally clear (you must really, really want it and you can clearly and vividly imagine yourself enjoying doing it) you can think about what must be done to get there but only then. No moving goal posts as that will contribute highly to failure. Vividly imagine being and doing exactly what you were meant to at the moment you reach your goal and you should be able to see what you needed to get you over the goal line if you really, truly desire it enough. I use meditation to aid me with my creativity and imagination as well as overall mental health. Continue thinking backwards from your goal to understand what is needed until you reach your present circumstance. Write it all down! It doesn’t have to be a nicely printed and bound book but it should be written down somewhere. Look at it every day and complete at least one task towards your goal.

Much later closer to your goal or maybe some time after, you should be able to better understand your business and how it interacts with other people and businesses. You can update your goal and plan to get there. This is where the cherry on top lies. A strong business foundation can be scaled and leveraged for even higher profits if you know what you’re doing. Outsourcing menial tasks can further increase profits by leveraging your own time to other high value tasks. But by this time, you’ll already be a successful, self-sufficient internet marketer.

Here I Am – Knock you out like Halothane

Hi there! I’d like to introduce myself and let you know what this is all about. My name is Lester Tateyama (read my personal blog here) and I intend to help as many people as I can become internet marketers like myself who are self-sufficient and sustainable over the long run. This will include various strategies and methods that all take time, money and commitment to not only implement, but to ultimately see the fruits of the labour that I put into my business. This is an opportunity to see everything as it happens (or you maybe reading this years later) because I am writing this as I am doing. Talk the talk and walk the walk. Doing is the other half of the great idea I have. A great idea is nothing without the doing. So here we are. A beginning to a wonderful life for us all!

By the tagline of this page that includes a Beastie Boys song title or maybe by the title of this post that sounds an awful lot like The Scorpions “Rock You like a Hurricane”, you can perhaps tell that I like music (a lot). You can also maybe pick up a little attempt at humour with the lyrical twist. This is how I roll! Music and humour bring people together and can be healing to your soul, your mind and I believe, your body. I don’t really intend to anaesthetize you to the point of oblivion. Rather, I hope to “wow” you with my honesty, commitment and ultimately, results to you, the ones that are reading this right now. Thank you for being here and I won’t let you down.

Internet marketing isn’t easy. It’s not for everyone. A lot of people who look to internet marketing as a viable business aren’t actually suited to be internet marketers. This is because it takes a certain type of person, a personality to be successful. Someone who can maintain the discipline to keep up with what needs to be done on a daily basis. And then understanding how to “systemize”, scale and outsource to maximize profits to staggering figures you may have not thought possible. The effort-profit ratio can be extremely high but the effort-value ratio is magnitudes higher as you build your brand and your business reach.

I hope that I’ve shown a little bit of the depth of knowledge I have in the field of internet marketing, however shallow and general it may be at this point. I just want reassure you that I do know what I am talking about and how to get there. Keep following and copy the good stuff, the things that pertain to you and your business because that’s the bottom line, the success of your business. And my business in part depends (quite a bit actually) on your business. Thank you once again for being here and reading this. Look forward for more sharing and caring!
